I don't like surprises unless I'm hunting and sometimes I can take a joke.  What are the
odds of a meteorite hunter finding one just outside their window?
Now, heres where this becomes truly strange.
This item was found in my neighbors tire track.  The ground is harder than cement and here
is the next part of puzzle.  My neighbor just had a flat tire days before and I decided to
cover the entire area with my detector to see if there were any more nails in the area.
Within inches of this item I had dug nails, screws, coins
and other weird goodies.  So, to my surprise, looking out my window the next day, the biggest
item in the area was laying in this tire track.  Those who know me know it would be impossible
to miss an object of this size on the ground when I can see it from my window big time! Not!!!!
Could this have been a cruel joke or did someone perpetrate this to cause me to have
a coronary to slow down my hunting?
All I know is this was not there just days before.  I can only imagine that those involved
are really getting a ha, ha, ha out of this one on a poor, old, greyhaired guy.  I will hope
someday to get the biggest laugh out of this event & find out the true source of the object
& the villein involved.
In the mean time, I'm thinking of offering it up to E- Bay as it may be worth a few bucks
and I know the price of the real estate on which it landed could be worth millions.
I would like to hear your opinion on the specimen in question.
It was analyzed by Bob VanMeter, in Chloride, and the classification is already in.
This has been more fun than anyone can have on any given day!
